Monthly Onesies

August 19th, 2014 No Comments

As you may (or may not) know, I am in a book club.  We meet once per month to discuss that month’s book.  To be honest, it’s mostly wine drinking and chatting with a little bit of book discussion thrown in.  Most of the time we meet at local restaurants, but in the summer months we meet at my mom’s house so we can float around her pool.  Those are the months my daughter likes since they are the only meetings she can go to.

One of the other ladies in book club is pregnant as well. She is due the month before I am.  This month we were supposed to do a joint baby shower at book club.  Unfortunately, her family has some medical problems and she couldn’t make it.  I, of course, did not find out until the morning of book club — after I had rushed out to buy supplies and spent all morning making the gift.  Turns out I have a whole extra month to work on this gift.  I think I might be done, though.  Not sure what else to add.  Though, I did end up with a few extra Onesies.  Maybe I could tie-dye them, or add iron-on patches, or stamp with fabric paint.  We’ll see how motivated I get.

I saw this cute idea on Pinterest.  I have loved this idea – even before I got pregnant.

Monthly Onesies (bodysuit) for baby's first year. Great baby shower gift.

Aren’t they adorable?  They are plain white bodysuits and the graphics are iron-on.  I got the designs from Attempting Aloha (with free printable).

Now that I have finished the plastic bag mat and this baby shower gift, I can start working on the star blanket again.

What do you think?  What is your favorite baby shower gift to give?

XoXo,
Stephanie
