My idea of Heaven

January 18th, 2012 No Comments

Yesterday, when I got home, I found that Hubby had built me a fire. Boy, was I excited! I love everything about fires. The warmth, the cracking, the hominess it adds to a house, the dancing flames.

No, I am not a pyromaniac. I promise.

What is my favorite thing to do while sitting near the fire? Well, besides roasting things like marshmallows and hotdogs.  Read!  That’s right, I am a huge book worm and my idea of Heaven is reading a good book sitting next to the fire. So, last night I grabbed my Kindle, sat down next to the fire and started reading Storm Front by Jim Butcher. A couple friends suggested the series to me. I looked up the books to see what the general premise was, and actually laughed out loud. A Wizard P.I.? Yeah, I am so not reading about a wizard P.I.  They finally swayed me (what? I am easily swayed by peer pressure) and I gave them a shot. I can admit when I am wrong, and boy was I wrong. These are actually very good books – at least the 88% I have read of the first one, anyway. I can’t wait to finish the first book and move onto the next. That brings me to another topic…

…I have joined an on-line book club of sorts. We all have the goal to read 52 books this year. I just recently joined so I am a bit behind. It’s week 3 and I have read 88% of ONE book. But I will catch up!(Can you tell I am a fan of the Kindle telling me what percent of the book I have read?)

Here’s my questions for you, dear readers:
…What is your idea of Heaven on Earth?
…What is your favorite book?
…What good books are you reading right now/have read recently?
